the first of 14 new Multi Role Tanker Transport aircraft for the RAF was christened at the Royal International Air tattoo at RAF Fairford by Air Vice Marshall Sir Steven Dalton and Defence Secretary Liam Fox. Service entry of the RAF's largest ever aircraft will be late in 2011 with deliveries running to 2014 when the Tristar and VC10 fleets will be retired.

P51 Mustang crashes at Flying legends
P51 - Big Beautiful Doll crashed at Duxford during the annual flying legends airshow. Pilot bailed out ok. Also damaged in the incident was Skyraider 205, which landed safely dispite losing a third of its wing
